Most people agree we should follow rules, but almost everyone can think of a time when bending one seemed like the right thing to do: helping someone in an emergency, or ignoring a policy that clearly didn't fit the situation. Where do you draw the line between bending a rule for good reasons and simply making excuses? I'd love to hear examples and how you thought them through.
